I'm so excited to share this personal brand photography session with you! It's one of my recent favorites, and features a fellow creative that I absolutely adore. Tamara owns and operates Naturally Chic Gifts, a chic, personalized gifting company for all special occasions and for the most special people in your life. I've been doing Tamara's product photography over the past two years, and I have loved seeing Naturally Chic Gifts evolve into the beautiful, finely curated brand that it is today.
Tamara started Naturally Chic Gifts after creating personalized champagne flutes to "propose" to her bridesmaids for her own wedding. The girls loved their glasses so much, Tamara decided to add them to her Etsy shop and contacted me for professional product photography to ensure she would have a consistent clean, bright & airy images that would match her overall brand. Within just 3 weeks of having her new product photos posted on her Etsy shop listings, sales increased by 33% compared to the year before. Tamara's Instagram engagement increased significantly too, with over 100 likes per post instead of just 30-40.
After planning the photos we wanted to capture, I created a private inspiration board on Pinterest so we could share our ideas and get an overall feel for the style of her personal brand session. Next, we scheduled the shoot date and made travel arrangements for me to fly from Kansas City to Raleigh, NC where Tamara lives. I love to travel and see new places, and it was so much fun to finally meet Tamara in person after collaborating from afar for so long!
Aside from the obvious stories of you running your business, it's really helpful to capture your everyday personal stories. These photos allow your target audience to get to know you on a personal level and connect with you. Ultimately, the more your audience can get to know you as a person, the stronger your brand's know, like and trust factor will be. Plus, it's super fun to just relax and have some fun doing the things you enjoy most!
On the morning of her shoot, it rained quite a bit, but thankfully it cleared up in the afternoon and we were able to get some beautiful lifestyle shots at Lafayette Village. I think the wet weather kept people away so we were lucky enough to have plenty of space to shoot without too many photo bombers!
By the end of the day, Tamara had a huge variety of custom personal brand photos to use on her website and for social media & marketing purposes. She received a gallery of 90 images within a few short days and was able to download them directly so she could use them right away. If you could use an entire library full of custom personal brand photos, email me and let's chat! I'm currently looking for 3 more personal brand clients and would love to help you look more professional, attract ideal clients and make authentic connections that convert!
